Amazingly enough, my dream is now a reality! It’s been more than a year since I first toured the house and almost a year since we first started to pursue buying it. I can’t thank Annette Palmerton of Keller Williams Realty enough for her dedication and perseverance in helping me achieve my dream of owning this house.
Now another challenge begins—trying to renovate the house according to my vision within my limited budget. I ended up paying about $50,000 more than I wanted to, so my renovation budget has been diminished significantly. We have to remodel the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom before we can consider it “livable.” So that’s where the money will go. Not to mention the roof. That’s first on the list.
I’m meeting with a contractor tomorrow to get his estimate of whether my vision is realistic. It just has to be…
