Not much to do now but wait. We have the loan approved, all the forms filled out. We had an inspection done last Saturday, though it was rather limited because none of the utilities could be turned on.
You have to remember that this is a short sale and some of the normal things you expect to happen when buying a house don’t necessarily apply. But I had seen the house a number of times last year when the electricity and water were still on. Don’t worry, I’ll be having an electrician checking the wiring and a plumber advising me on the plumbing, not to mention the gas company checking all the gas lines when they re-install the meter.
John, my mortgage broker, said today that we might close as soon as Friday! Needless to say, I’m ready to get this show on the road!
