I call this (what was) the 5th bedroom. I decided quickly that this 2100 sq. ft. house doesn’t need 5 bedrooms, but it does need a better laundry room and surely could use a guest half bath.
Previous owners locked pets in this room and it smelled like it! The flooring you can see in the photos is a sheet of vinyl flooring, unattached, just laying on top of the original oak hardwood floors. Thank goodness they tried (albeit, with little success) to protect the floors but the re-finishing of the oak floors took care of the smell problem though it didn’t remove all of the stains, here and elsewhere in the house. C’est la vie for a 90-something house. 😉
So, this ugly, poorly-painted-red-room I sub-divided into the laundry room, a half bath and a storage closet.
