OMG is all I can say about this bathroom. It had a couple of nice features that I had to sacrifice in the remodel—the cabinet under the window and the linen cabinet—BUT well worth it.
The shower surround was just horrendous. You couldn’t tell what was part of the design and what was mold. UGH. My husband used to make a Liver Paté hors d’oeuvre for Christmas parties —liver and cream cheese—it looked too similar to this… (not a fan—not of the appetizer or the shower surround!)

After
The new bathroom design features a clawfoot tub from 1907 (twenty years older than the house…obviously not original to the house but…); an oak sideboard from the 30’s transformed into a marble-topped double vanity; a 1930’s china cabinet serves as storage for towels and other items, fitting nicely at the end of the tub. Marble tile floors with electric in-floor heating add a classic look with 21st century comfort.
Use of simple subway tile for the shower walls saves the budget while using marble slabs as accents on the shower surround and small marble tiles on shower floor.
